How to get started with ASU Earned Admission

Whether you’re managing work, family or planning a career change, Earned Admission helps you take that next step toward your degree — on your terms.

Sign up and get access

Sign up to create an ASU account. After registering, you’ll receive an email within 1–2 business days with your ASURITE ID, which you’ll use to access your courses.

Tip: Submit your ASU application sooner rather than later! This ensures that ASU can evaluate any transfer credits and prevents delays once you meet the required credit hours — and help you with personalized support.

Choose your course

Log in to the learner dashboard using your ASURITE ID. Browse the Course Catalog and choose your course. To complete enrollment, pay the $25 enrollment fee. If you’re enrolling in an ASU course for the first time, you’ll need to verify your identity with a government-issued ID or, if under 18, a birth certificate and photo.

Start learning and earn credit

Log in to your dashboard and begin your coursework. After completing your course, if you’re satisfied with your grade, pay the $400 course fee within one year to add the credits to your ASU transcript. Your credits will appear on your My ASU page and your official ASU transcript.

Earn admission into ASU

To earn admission, learners under 22 need to complete 24 credit hours, while learners 22 and older need to complete 12 credit hours.

Once you’ve completed the required courses with a GPA of 2.75 or higher, you’ll meet ASU’s general admission requirements.

You can also transfer your credits to any university that accepts ASU credits.

ASU student

I struggled to focus and succeed in high school. A guidance counselor even laughed at my desire to apply to college. After attempting a few semesters in community college, my GPA suffered. Earned Admission was a gift — it let me prove to myself I was ready for this challenge, without the pressure of loans and a full-time course load. Now I’m part of ASU Barrett Honors College, and I’m so proud of what ASU has helped me achieve.
